Choose From Contacts
You have access to all contacts listed in our system. If you click on the To: link, a choose from contacts window will appear. Type in the first three or four letters of the persons name in the search box. Names with those letters will appear in the search results box. Click on the person that you would like to send the email. A green check will appear in front of that person's name. You can repeat the process to add additional people. When you finish, click done at the bottom of the window and you are ready to send the email. If you need help, please email Ernie Conner at econner@mcpsweb.org.

Log Off Email Feature
Teachers and staff are really busy each day. Have you ever been interupted while checking your email and have to do another task? Hours later, have you ever wondered if you logged off of your email from your school computer? Many of us have! Our new email has a great feature that will allow you to log off of all email sesssions from a single computer. Yes! you can log off the email on your school computer from home. Here are the steps.
Open your email account. Once you are logged in, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
You will see the statement below: (your screen will have actual numbers instead of the x's in the example below)
Last account activity: x minutes ago at this IP (xx.xx.xxx.xxx). Details.
Click on the Details link.
A screen will appear that shows the IP Address (Computer Id) of every place that you have used your email.
Click on the "Sign Out All Other Sessions" tab.
THIS WILL SIGN YOUR ACCOUNT OFF AT ANY OTHER LOCATION THAT YOU USED EMAIL!

Search Mail Features
The Search Mail feature is located at the top of your email account. Once you have successfully logged in to your account, the box will be located to the right of the
You can use Meck Mail search the same way you'd use Google Search, by entering a word (or multiple words) that appears anywhere within the message you want to locate.
If you're looking for a message that contains the word science, simply type science in the search field and press Search Mail. Your results will be displayed with your search terms highlighted in yellow.
The new system doesn't recognize special search characters like square brackets, parentheses, currency symbols, the ampersand, the pound sign, and asterisks. It also doesn't recognize partial or similar matches, so a search for travel will find travel, but not travels, traveler, or travle.
If you're having trouble finding the result you want, you can refine your query by clicking Show search options next to the search box, and entering your criteria in the appropriate fields

Using Labels to Sort and Organize Email
Create Labels:
The following steps should be used once you have successfully logged in to your email.
Step 1: Click on the "Edit labels" link located at the bottom left of your email. The labels section of your email is color coded ingreen . A new screen will appear.
Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and type in the name of your label and click on the "Create" button. The label will be created and will be listed in the label section of your email page. Once you have created as many labels as you need, Scroll up and click on the "Inbox" link.

Label E-mails that are located in your Inbox.
Step 1: You can start the process by opening an individual email or by selecting one or more by clicking on the check box located to left of the email. Placing a check in the box will highlight them in beige.
Step 2: Click on the down arrow located in the "More Actions" box right above your list of emails. Scroll down and click on the label that you want to place on the email(s). A message will appear at the top informing you of the number of emails that were labeled. The label name will also appear in green in the email subject line.
Step 3: If you want to remove the email(s) that you labeled from the Inbox, click on the Archive button located at the top left of your email. This will remove the selected emails from your Inbox. They will remain in the label section and are also accessed by clicking on the All Mail link.
